It was winter season. Emperor Akbar was sitting on the terrace enjoying the warmth of the Sun. Birbal And other courtiers were engaged in discussion. This palace was situated on the bank of Yamuna. Seeing steam coming out from water surface on a Cold day surprised the Emperor. Steam is formed due to heat but why was this happening in the winter Season? Emperor presented his problem like this; “What makes the water give off steam?”  All present there came up with arguments and reasoning but none made the emperor satisfied. He Looked hopefully at Birbal immediately gave a solution to the problem. “During winter people stay away From the river is worried at its unpopularity. Its feeling get bottled up inside. So, sometimes the river Tries to let off its steam.” The answer impressed the king and he rewarded Birbal.
