Mangalore is a land of rich traditions and folk art and is the major port city of Karnataka. Surrounded by the Western Ghats and the Arabian sea, Mangalore gets its name from Mangaladevi, the deity. The city is known for its rich heritage and travel destinations, which are as follows.
Sultan Battery, which has been built with black stones, is a prominent watchtower in the city , built by Tipu Sultan, and it also has cannons.
