1. Villain in Debut Film
Seems this is a common trait to all great actors. Just like Super Star Rajinikanth, Mohanlal too made his debut as Villain. He started to do villain role in the movie 'Manjil Virinja Pookkal' where he essayed role of an evil and sadistic husband.
2. Wrestling Champ
Mohanlal came to this industry without any backdrop. We all knew him as an actor, but most of us don't know he is good in Wrestling too. He was so good that he was actually a wrestling champion in the entire state of Kerala for two consecutive years.
3. National Awards and Padma Shri
Mohanlal has received two of the biggest honours that any actor can receive are the Padma Shri and National award. Even Rajini received his Padma Vibhushan recently. But Mohanlal got these accolades in 2001 itself.
4. Daredevil Stunt sequence
Mohanlal even tried to pull off a daredevil stunt sequence. During the stunt, he was handcuffed and chained and locked in a box set on fire from which he had to escape. But he was dissuaded at the final moment by his fans and fellow actors.
5. More Hindi Remakes
Mohanlal's movies are quite often remade in Hindi. Recent example is 'Drishyam'. Boing Boing was remade as Garam Masala, Kriddam was remade as Gardish and there are many more.
