Actor karthi after failing in the adventurous romantic disaster movie Dev was back on screens last diwali with the action entertainer Kaithi, which happened to be the second directorial of Managaram fame lokesh kanagaraj and was bankrolled by Dream Warrior pictures SR Prabhu.
Kaithi got released along with bigil and ended up as a huge success. The movie had karthi playing a prisoner named Dill who teams up with an injured cop played by narain and how they deal with a gang of deadly gangsters over a single night. Kaithi does not feature any heroines or songs and has a background score by sam CS.
Recently karthi was questioned about the hindi version of 'Kaithi' and the actor responded that hrithik roshan will do justice to the role. The actor also said there won't be any major changes to the hindi version and there won't be any female lead or songs just like the tamil version. karthi was questioned about Suriya, for which he said he is preparing for his next movie with Hari, and thus confirmed speculations that Suriya 39 will be indeed helmed by Hari, joining forces post the 2017 movie Singam 3.
