Thala ajith started this year with a bang this pongal with his fourth collaboration with director Siva, Viswasam which was bankrolled by Sathyajyoti Films and the movie co-starred Lady superstar Nayanthara and Anika Sureneran playing important roles.
Viswasam turned out to be a massive blockbuster at the box office and went on to amass more than 250 crores worldwide and following this commercial success now the movie has been listed among social media's influential moments listed by india during Launch 2020 event.

Last january, We witnessed the release of two of the biggest movies of kollywood, the Thala ajith starrer, Siva directorial rural entertainer Viswasam and the Superstar Rajnikanth starrer karthik Subbaraj directorial revenge thriller petta, and both the movies were released amidst gargantuan expectations. However, overall, Viswasam has collected more than petta and emerged as a clear winner. Viswasam was ahead of petta by miles.
