Actor karthi had last made an appearance in the disastrous Dev directed by rajath Ravishankar, and co-starring rakul preet singh, and was seen next in the lokesh kanagaraj directorial Kaithi, bankrolled by Dream Warrior pictures. The actor had been working on two movies simultaneously, namely the one co-starring rashmika mandanna in her tamil debut and another is the one which is directed by a debutant.
