Director Karthik Subbaraj had made waves with his initial movies like Pizza, Jigarthanda, and Iraivi, and after the failure of Mercury, he had scored a decent hit with his latest release, the Superstar Rajnikanth starrer Petta, which had lost the Pongal battle against Viswasam, as Petta ended at second place.
Next, Karthik Subbaraj is all set to revive one of his movies which was supposed to have started much before Petta and even Mercury happened and this movie will have none other than Dhanush starring in the lead role, and earlier it was supposed to be bankrolled by Thenandal studios. Kajal Aggarwal is likely to be the female lead role in this venture. Already, Kajal missed teaming up with Dhanush in 'Pollathavan' earlier, but she worked with him in 'Maari'.
Now with Thenandal suffering from huge losses due to Mersal and Sarkar distribution, and with them not even paying the magician, it is to be seen who will produce this movie, which might also have top Hollywood actors like Al Pacino as part of the cast.
