'Idhu Namma Aalu' has finally hit screens after a long span of 4 years. The movie is all about a happy going guy Shiva (STR) and his first love and more about the relationship with his fiance Mylaa. The story is all about, how 'Love' harms their relationship and how the couple forget their indifferences and reunit for the rest of the story. Director Pandiraj who is known to make wafer thin story into a beautiful screenplay has done it again. Despite the delayed release, this movie proves that it is 'Worth the Wait'.

Simbhu has essayed role of Shiva and he essays role of an IT Professional guy. It's just unbelievable that such a romantic hero is the one who penned lyrics for 'Beep Song'. He is flawless. He is just getting repeated delays. After 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaayaa' this has to be the perfect role for him. He carries the role without much weightage or pressure. And after a long time, the movie doesn't have any self praising songs or action sequences. STR's One leg dance moment in 'Maaman Waiting' song will be the highlight. Nayantara is absolutely gorgeous. She perfectly fits shoes of Mylaa. No wonder she is 'Lady Superstar'. Her Chemistry with Simbhu is sparkling and at times we feel they could be 'Real Couple'. Andrea doesn't have much to offer. She just appears in first half of the movie. She did justice to her role. Surprise cameo from Jai and Santhanam. Soori's comedy is fresh and his one liners bring roof down. Jayaprakash as STR's dad earns applause. It was such an adorable dad character. Supporting cast is solid. Director Pandiraj also used technical team for cameo roles. Pandiraj himself along with Cinematographer Velraj has done cameo role. Tollywood beauty Adah Sharma has shaken her hips with STR for a song.

STR's baby brother Kuralarasan has made his debut as Music composer and songs are already hit numbers. All four tracks are exemplary and he proved his mettle in background score too. ‘Kaathaga…’ and ‘En Raagam..’ stays in mind. ‘Maaman Waiting..’ is a typical folk number for STR. He definitely has a bright future as Music composer. So another entry from TR family is getting spot light. Cinematographer Balasubramaniam scores with brilliant cinematography and lightings. Dance choreography is perfect. Costume designer deserves all accolades. STR and Nayantara gets posh look and all of them are eye catchy. Editing is another plus. Perfect and Ideal running time keeps the audience engaged. Dialogues are the biggest plus. Each dialogue gets applause from audience.

The movie has a routine story but with an interesting screenplay. But some draggy portions in second half makes the movie watchable once. The movie has solid cast, witty one liners, excellent songs. But still something is missing ! The movie never moves to interesting lane at any point and that is the only flaw. The movie is all about newly married couples and others can recollect their memories. For those who are about to get married, the movie is an eye-opener.

Pandiraj, T. Rajendar ,Usha Rajendar ,Silambarasan, Nayantara ,Andrea Jeremiah ,Kuralarasan"Idhu Namma Aalu" is just the perfect Ice-cream under the Hot sun !
