Bottom Line: Wrestling Sport shown in an Entertaining manner !

Story

Mollywood's Godha movie story is about Anjaneya Das hails from a family of wrestlers but loves cricket more. His dad packs him off to Punjab University for his M-Tech, where he meets Aditi Singh, a passionate wrestler. A series of events land them both back in God’s Own Country and a new episode of kusthi begins. The wrestling enthusiast Aditi's visit to God's own country sets off many stones rolling and results in an interesting turn of events in the screenplay. Watch the absolute entertainer in the big screen.

Star Performance

A brilliant performance by Wamiqa Gabbi is the backbone of Godha, supported by excellent performances that add fire into this beautifully written fun-filled sports film.  The movie has Tovino Thomas and Wamiqa Gabbi, which was planned by director Basil Joseph and writer Rakesh Mantodi long before Sultan and Dangal became the biggest hits in the history of Indian Cinema. Produced by AV Anoop and Mukesh R Mehta. Punjabi kudi Wamiqa Gabi makes her Malayalam debut with Godha. She acts the part of a female wrestler and it is through her the story is told.

Techinical Team

The movie's music by Shaan Rahman is already viral online, especially the 'Punjabi tadka', O Rabba. Basil Joseph retained Vishnu Sharma who had done the cinematography excellently. The combination of distinctive and dedicated acting, ardent writing and direction, majestic frames, emotion instigating tunes and precise cuts produce an awe-inspiring and sublime movie. The technical aspects are the plus for the movie.

Analysis

Tovino Thomas brings out the unfocused nature of his character with perfection and also handles his transformation like a veteran. The show stealer is Renji Panicker who stuns the audience with his well built physique and a greatly polished performance. The most important thing that separates Godha from a normal Malayalam film is the dedication shown by every artist to wrestle with a grace and make their performance very convincing. It is a 100% entertainer and the movie is a different Malayalam movie to be watched by all this weekend.
