Phullu Movie story is about Sharib Hashmi who plays a character which is basically good for nothing. All day he does nothing but gets essentials for the women of his village from the city. On one of his trips he discovers the use of sanitary napkins and decides to get them to his village so that the women can make use of it. But whether his journey is fruitful or not should be known by watching the movie in the big screen.

Sharib Ali Hashmi, Jyothi Sethi and Nutan Surya have acted in predominant roles in the movie. Phullu's mother and a beggar outside the Mosque are the highlight who provide comic relief. The movie is a social relevant issue about menstruation and the movie had got 'A' certificate from the Censor Board. Actors have performed well and have done justice to their roles.

Abhishek Saxena had made the direction and had brought a social awareness to the public as a whole. Two songs from the film Bhunoor Bhunoor and Chukar Tujhe from Phullu have got a decent response from the music lovers. The cinematography and editing part is average and it is not so good. Village based scenes are taken realistically. In fact the technical aspects is not upto the satisfaction.

It is a niche movie with no well known faces, but at the same time the movie addresses a very strong issue that is prevalent in our country. In fact there are villages in India without the awareness about sanitary napkins till today. The concept is good but it is untouched for a very long time. There is conversation with doctors explaining the hygiene importance of choosing sanitary napkin over cloth. The movie should be showed to all the women in villages who are unaware about the usage of sanitary napkin.
