After delivering double disasters this year with Touch Chesi Chudu and Nela Ticket, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is back on screen with his Venky and Dubai Seenu maker Srinu Vytla who himself desperately needs a  hit after debacles like Aagadu, Bruce Lee, Mister, with Amar Akbar Anthony. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Amar Akbar Anthony review.

Amar(Ravi Teja) arrives out of New York Jacksons prison, and he starts his revenge mission on those who were responsible for damaging his family, and next, enters Akbar, in a Telugu association event, and he's shown to be a mysterious man, a look-alike of Amar. As murders keep happening, a third character, Anthony, a doctor is introduced as well, and as cops are close on the heels of the murderer, murders keep happening. What is the connection between Amar, Akbar and Anthony, and whether Amar succeeded in his revenge mission or was he caught by cops is what the entertaining Amar Akbar Anthony is all about.

Ravi Teja lives up to his title and delivers a massy performance and as the three characters Amar, Akbar, and Anthony he presents ample variations, while at the same time balancing on his brand comic antics and body language and also on the emotions side. Ileana is back, this time in a chubby avatar, and she's even more gorgeous making the proceedings interesting with her cute act and dubbing. Sunil tries to evoke few laughs and succeeds, while the evil trio Vikramjeet Virk, Tarun Arora, and Adithya Menon are cliched yet menacing. The rest of the cast including Vennela Kishore and Laya is adequate.

Thaman's background score is scintillating and of his songs, Don Bosco, Kalala Kadhala are impressive, Cinematography by Venkat C Dileep is top notch, capturing the interesting chase episodes and the grand canvas of New York and other locales in the US in a spectacular manner, offering a visual treat. MR Varma's editing could have been better. After trying his hand in his brand comedy based entertainers and family comedies, Srinu Vytla is back on screen this time with a revenge entertainer. starring his hit hero Ravi Teja, with both in need of success.

The movie has an exciting premise, and Srinu's presentation of the three characters, Amar, Akbar and Anthony with the necessary variations is interesting, and the way he establishes the connect towards the interval, by maintaining the suspense throughout the first half keeps the audience engaged. The second half moves at a great pace, with the songs coming as speed breakers at times, and several dragged sequences slightly affecting the screenplay, but Vytla makes up for it by placing entertainment factors like appealing comedy and some goosebumps mass episodes with Ravi Teja in top form. With Ravi Teja returning to what he does best, and with a decent screenplay that offers comedy and thrills in equal dosage, Srinu Vytla has come up with a fairly engaging entertainer that works.

Raviteja,Ileana,Srinu Vaitla,Naveen Yerneni,Y. Ravi Shankar,Mohan Cherukuri,S. ThamanTriple entertainment, as Srinu Vytla and Ravi Teja finally find form with a pretty decent entertainer.
