Story:

Sandalwood hero rakshit shetty, known for his blockbuster movies like Ulidavaru Kandanthe and kirik party is back this time with a wacky period flick to test waters in tollywood with Athade Srimannarayana. Here's team ap Herald's Athade Srimannarayana review.

The evil leader of dacoits Abhiras, jayaram and his half brother Tukaram are warring, but have a common goal to find the missing treasure of amaravati, and now enters crazy cop Srimannarayana. How he gets caught between the two brothers, faces unexpected troubles from a drama troupe, unravels the mystery and locates and owns the treasure is what Athade Srimannarayana is all about.

Performances:

rakshit shetty exhibits superb body language as the crazy cop and his humorous act in the company of the able achyuth kumar is a treat. shanvi srivastava plays a good role to perfection while balaji Manohar and Pramod Shetty are menacing in a contrasting manner. The rest of the cast is adequate.

Technicalities:

Ajaneesh Loknath delivers an impressive background score and of the songs, his hands up and charan Raj's Narayana number are good. Karm Chawla's top-notch Cinematography captures the western milieu and the sequences leading to unlocking the treasure in a breathtaking manner. sachin Ravi's editing must have been better as the movie drags heavily in the second half.

Analysis:

Debutant sachin ravi has come up with an interesting plot of a cop coming to get hold of a treasure and getting caught between three-dimensional troubles and is supported well by rakshit shetty and The Seven Odds, but it is the execution that fails. The movie moves at its own pace, in a leisurely way and becomes too much self-indulgent which makes the viewer lose attention. Despite rakshit Shetty's antics, the second half with the drama troupe sequences gets tiresome and could have definitely been trimmed by 20-25 minutes to make it gripping. All said, rakshit shetty is the saving grace of this dragging treasure hunt flick.

Verdict: An average treasure hunt flick powered solely by rakshit Shetty
