STR faced lots of troubles during 'Vaalu' release and it was said that the actor has learned a lesson and he will be regular to shooting spot and he will have quick releases without any hiccups in future.
After 'Vaalu', STR signed lots of movies and he was particular in working under Gautam Menon and Selvaraghavan direction. He worked for both movies on parallel note. As both of them were reputed directors , STR was also regular to shooting.
Selvaraghavan who was mentally upset with failure of 'Irandam Ulagam' was planning to make a strong come back with 'Kaan'. He roped in Simbhu and Catherine Tresa to do lead roles. Taapsee and Jagpathi Babu were also roped inside the team. The project was funded by Gitanjali Selvaraghavan and Siddharth Rao as a joint venture under Glo Studios banner.
The shooting was going on perfect stream and first two schedules were completed at a fast pace. Things were going smooth and all of a sudden Selvaraghavan announced the movie was shelved due to finance issues. But now we hear from inside sources that it was STR who has forced to drop the movie as he was irregular to shoots and was shuffling between Gautam Menon and Nadigar Sangam elections
