Maniratnam has tasted success with 'OK Kanmani' and that success has created a new path for him. He was planning to bask in success of the movie and he was planning to do a multi-starrer for his next.
Earlier it was said that Karthi and Dulquer Salman is in the project. But after some days it was confirmed that Dulquer walked out of the project due to clash of dates. Once again it was said, Karthi was no more in the project.
It was officially announced that Nani will replace Karthi. The hunt for female lead is also on. Shrutihaasan who was roped in walked out of the project due to unforeseen reasons. Similarly Nithya Menon was also replaced.
Now in similar lines, we hear from close sources that Nani is no longer part of the project. If sources are to be trusted, Nani himself walked out of the movie and the exact reasons are unknown. So far the official confirmation has been made for the cinematographer and Music composer. AR Rahman will be the music composer and Ravi Varman will take care of cinematography.
