Vijay who was dull as the result of 'Puli' never went in his favour is taking full pains to shape 'Vijay 59'. Atlee directs the venture. It has to be noted that Atlee is a former assistant of Director Shankar. Samantha and Amy Jackson are the two female lead characters.

As we reported earlier, the shooting of the movie is inching towards completion and Amy Jackson recently joined the sets. We hear from sources that around 30 days of shooting is left. Now just like 'Puli', Vijay is said to appear in a new getup for few portions.
The actor will be seen with fully grown beard in this get up. Sources say in 'Chatriyan', Vijayakanth will be shown as a drunkard while he was in suspension and the same character is replaced with this bearded getup.
