Kamalhaasan's 'Thoongavanam' was produced by RKFI and Sri Gokulam movies as a joint venture.The movie released on 10th of this month and has got some overwhelming response. Trisha has done the female lead role. Madhu ShaliniAsha Sarath, Prakash Raj,Sampath, Uma Riaz and Kishore are part of the cast.
The movie is an official remake of French movie 'Sleeples Night'. Rajesh.M.Selva who is a trusted associate of Kamal is making his directorial debut with this movie. Ghibran has scored Music. Vairamuthu has penned lyrics.
The movie also has a Telugu version under the name 'Cheekati Rajyam'. Kamalhaasan is planning to taste success in both the versions. Now Kamalhaasan has met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and requested him to attend the premiere in Vijayawada.
Sources said that the meeting was a formal one and Chandrababu Naidu has promised to attend the show some time sooner. Kamalhaasan recently is meetin political leaders and this is creating stir amongst the industry people.
