Vishal once again completed his project 'Kathakali' on time. The movie was directed by Pandiraj. The movie is clearly labelled as an Action drama genre. Catherine Tresa is doing female lead and this is the first time she shares screen space with Vishal.
Vishal Film Factory banner and Pasanga productions produces the movie as joint venture. Technical team includes Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi for music and Bala Subramaniem for cinematography. Sri Thenandal Films bagged the distribution rights and the movie is slated for Pongal release.
In this case, prior to the release, the movie was sent for censor certification. As there was a lip-lock, the censor decided to go with 'U/A'. But to get the benefit of Tax exemption, the team has decided to leave the kissing scene.
The movie is now censored as 'U'. Actor Vishal confirmed this news. He tweeted, "#?Kathakali? certified U. God bless" The movie will release on 14th of January as planned earlier. Promotions will start in all channels shortly.
