Akhil Akkineni's debut movie, Akhil - The Power of Jua was a huge disaster at the box office. The movie which witnessed a pre-release business of 47 Crore could not even collect 20 Crore share and turned out to be a humiliating failure for the actor. The young lad is certainly disappointed but not down and dejected.
He is keeping himself busy with brand endorsements and listening to new scripts for his next project. Recently, for the New Year, the actor gifted himself a Mercedes Benz. This is a gift for himself by himself from his first pay cheque and needless to say he is very proud of it. It is a a G-63 (black) model and costed the actor a whopping 2.6 Crore.
There are rumours that he immensely liked a script narrated by Deva Katta. He is in a dilemma to give the green signal or not. Deva Katta made an impression with every one with Vennela and Prasthanam but from then is struggling. His next two films — Autonagar Surya and Dynamite are miserable flops. Akhil giving him a chance to him in a do or die situation is very risky and so he is giving it a big thought before taking a final decision.
