'Kanithan' is directed by debutante Santhosh. The movie portrays lead hero Atharvaa Murali as a journalist. Kalaipuli.S.Dhanu produces the project. Catherine Tresa does female lead. Drums Sivamani scores music for first time.
Tarun Arora, K.Bhagyaraaj, Manobala, Karunakaran, Sunder Ramu, Aadukalam Naren, Naasar, YG Mahendraa are part of the cast. Technical team features Bhuvan Srinivasan for editing and Arvind Krishna for cinematography. The songs released yesterday and it got a good reception.
Speaking at the Audio launch, AR Murugadoss said, "Santosh worked as an assistant to me in 'Thuppakki'. It is good to see him as a director. The director must have faith on the script and he has that. Atharvaa is just following foot steps of his father. He provides more chances to new faces."
Atharvaa said, "I am happy with the way the movie has shaped up. All the post production works were completed. The censor will be done in a couple of days. The movie will hit screens by 19th of February."
