'Lingaa' which released on December 2014 is still facing more troubles. Just when the financial troubles have settled down, now a plagiarism problem has raised. Ravirathinam from Madurai has lodged a case against 'Lingaa' team stating that his story was lifted by Ponkumar and it was used in 'Lingaa'.
He gave a statement and in the statement he has said, "My story 'Mullaivanam 999' was lifted and was used in 'Lingaa'. I would like to take a case against Producer Rockline Venkatesh, Story writer Ponkumar, Director KS Ravikumar and Actor Rajinikanth."
The case came before hearing on sessions court and as it was dragged Madurai High Court ordered the sessions court to complete the case before April. The first hearing came last week and the opponent party side requested Story writer Ponkumar to submit the entire script of 'Lingaa'.
Justice Viswanathan who heard the case asked to submit the story by today (March 9th). He also summoned Rajinikanth to appear before court. However the actor never appeared today.
