Here's the good news which we all were longing for. A Biopic on Late.Abdul Kalam is on cards. Marathi Filmmaker Pramod Gore is going to craft the biopic and he has roped in the versatile actor Irrfan Khan to do role of late Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam.
As per sources, Pramod has bagged the rights to portray the struggles and achievements of Kalam on the big screen. He is now preferring Irrfan Khan to do role of lead protagonist in this biopic.
A close source to Gore said, "Gore visited Kalam's home in Rameswaram where he met his brother to gain insight into the great man's life." The sources further said, "The makers are planning to release it next year. The director for this Biopic is not yet finalized, but the entire team is keen to rope in Irrfan Khan as Kalam."
Gore said, "Kalam ji has done lots for our Nation. He is the real inspiration. I travelled all the way to Rameswaram because I want to be thorough and not falter in conveying a story as great as this. I also don't want to miss any small factor. I also got permission from his family."
