Victory Venkatesh's Babu Bangaram takes the full advantage of Independence day holiday. The movie mints approx 3 Crore SHARE on its fourth day and that takes the four days total to 14.2 Crore from both the Telugu States. In the United States, the movie has collected $49K on Sunday, taking the total to $411,128.
The USA Total can also be termed good for that talk and reviews but then not sufficient to steer the buyers to safety. The movie is likely to end up as a Loss venture for buyers, mainly exhibitors looking at 50% losses. Bad Reviews took severe toll on the movie's performance in Overseas.
Babu Bangaram has opened to bad talk and reviews on last Friday. Everyone expected the movie to bite dust badly and end up as another disaster for Venkatesh. But it is not the case now, the movie has put up a good show in the extended weekend and has very good revenues. Family audience have flocked to the movie theaters thanks to Venkatesh's popularity and the decent trailers.
The movie had a pre-release business of 32 Crore with Prints and Publicity. AP and Nizam business is somewhere around 24 Crore which means the movie has to get another 10 Crore to be a break-even venture. It has to be seen if the movie can really get to there given that there are no significant releases until Janatha Garage on September 2nd.
