Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap has said he feels responsible for the failure of Ranbir Kapoor's films considering Ranbir was once at the top of the game in Bollywood and Anurag's brother Abhinav Kashyap's “Besharam” in 2013 put a break on Ranbir’s winning streak, who until then was riding high on success with hits like Wake Up Sid, Barfi and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Anurag has told that both Bombay Velvet and Besharam has affected him personally and all these things (downfall of Ranbir's profession) has affected him as you take responsibility for the work you do and he feels responsible for that thing.
He has also told that he thinks Ranbir is one of
the finest actors and he was willing to experiment, but he has failed him
collectively, a lot of us failed him. Though the two films have bombed
at the box office, it hasn't changed personal equation between the director and
the actor.
Anurag was asked if there is any project lined up with Ranbir, the “Gangs of Wasseypur” director has said presently there are no such plans and he is committed to a lot of things like Raju Hirani's film, "Jagga Jassos" Ayan Mukherji's film and he will be busy for next two years.
