Top Producer and Distributor, Dil Raju is planning to announce his retirement very soon. This is only from Film distribution. Dil Raju is associated with several big films and bagged several blockbusters as well. However, the ace distributor is finding the business unviable these days.
Several new entrants are coming in to film distribution. In order to make their mark and bag big films, they are offering ridiculous amounts to the films and as a result the rates are going up. The business is turning in to a gamble as even attaining break-even is becoming tough.
Most films are ending up in losses bringing huge losses while those becoming hits, are also bringing only minor losses. Dil Raju had decided to stop distribution of outside films and only concentrate on films in his production house. The ace producer currently has 10 projects in hands ranging in various budgets. Five of these films are already launched and the remaining will begin very soon.
