Just like the department of actors, directors, technicians, there is also the department of fighters which has a very important role to play in the film industry. Whatever heroism we see of the star heroes is only due to the fighters who take all the hits and blows putting their lives at risk. In the recent past, they seem to be raising their voice.
Reports are arriving that a fight has started between the south fighters union and Bollywood. This has to do with the film ‘Mental’, remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Kick’. According to rules, when a film is hiring fighters, it should take 70% local people and 30% outsiders. It is heard that producer Sohail Khan took a south fight master for the stunts.
But it is heard that the fight master is insisting that instead of 30% Sohail should take 50% of fighters from south. This is against the rules and due to all this, the shooting got disrupted leading to a loss of Rs 25 lakhs. There is also news that Bollywood is looking at this issue seriously and will take some action soon.
