Forbes International Magazine seems to be insulting Tollywood greats with its recent findings on Best Acting Performances in 100 Yrs of Indian Cinema. An actor from telugu industry finding place in the list is an achievement itself as Forbes used only 25 best acting performances all across India.
However the name itself came as surprise from many movie lovers and even Tollywood industry people as well as analysts. The hero is none other than Somayajulu for his performance in Shankarabharanam in 79. True, he put in a stellar performance and the film won awards, screened nationally and internationally.
But there is a feeling that Forbes insulted the Tollywood greats as one couln't understand its criterion of selection. Tollywood has many great legends like NTR,ANR,SVR,Krishna,Savitri,Suryakantam, Relangi to name a few. Even prior to them many gave spellbounding performances.
