Director Hari is one of those reputed directors who is known for Racy entertainers. 'Singam' is one of the powerful franchise ever made in South Indian Film Industry. In recent times, Tamil cinema is facing a barrage of big, dumb, action movies.
'Singam 3' would have fallen in the same category. But, Director Hari's well-structured plot and good character development make it a lot special. Suriya is back as 'Durai Singam' and this time he engages in a game of cat and mouse with Thakur Anoop Singh (Vitthal Prasad). The supporting characters are also great.
Robo Shankar, Soori, Singer Krish are all rich with personality. However, on the flip side, there is unnecessary swearing and violence, but it works in places. Music by Harris Jayaraj was average. However, the background score is perfect. But still missing Devi Sri Prasad's energetic 'Singam' score.
Action scenes are incredible. The forest fight scene, in particular, demonstrates what a realistic character he is playing. Such is the power of 'Durai Singam'. When movies like 'Bairavaa' fail with an outdated ages old script and non-existent story lines, 'Singam 3' scores high.
'Singam 3' is the right example of a movie where all pieces of a movie fall together to perfection! There are no weak spots or dull moments.
