Raj Tharun's Kittu Unnadu Jagratha, Vijay Devarakonda's Dwaraka and Manchu Manoj's Gunturodu have released last week and all the three had Overseas Release. Of the three movies, Kittu Unnadu Jagratha did fare better though those collections didn't bring smiles to the distributor. In its first weekend, the movie grossed $51,232.
Vijay Devarakonda's 'Dwaraka' too under-performed as it just grossed $48,335. Vijay's earlier film, Pelli Choopulu is a One Million Dollar Film. So the trade expected at least a $100K — $150K opening in the first weekend of its release.
On the other hand, Manchu Manoj's Gunturodu is equally a big failure. The movie didn't cross $3k even and is the worst of all the three release. In its opening weekend the movie grossed mere $2,868. So, all the three movies even failed to recover their expenses.
