Akhil Akkineni had a terrible time for the last one year or so. He tasted a massive disaster with his debut movie, Akhil - The Power of Jua and then there is a tragedy in his personal life with a canceled marriage. Finally amid all the mess, Akhil celebrated his Birthday on Saturday. But then he had a working Birthday as he shot for a fight of his next on Shamirpet Roads.
Some Bomb Blast scenes were canned on the day of his Birthday. The shoot there is complete and the team will shift to Hyderabad now. We are told that reigning Bollywood heroine Alia Bhatt agreed to star in the film to be directed by Manam fame Vikram K Kumar and it will mark her Telugu debut. Interesting buzz is that the movie is titled 'Junnu'.
The title has evoked mixed response from all quarters but Akkineni fans say they trust Vikram Kumar who delivered a monumental success like Manam for them. The movie is a love story and is all about hero's attempts to win the heart of the heroine. Junnu is the pet name of the heroine in the film and so Vikram is keen on having the movie title as Junnu. Sources say that the makers are currently taking the feedback from all quarters on the title and only then, will take a final call.
