Veteran Indian Film Director Dasari Narayana Rao took his last breath a few minutes back. He worked predominantly in Telugu cinema and also in few Hindi movies. He directed 151 movies and produced 53 movies in his career.
He also worked in more than 250 movies as a Dialogue writer and Lyric writer. Most of his movies stress society based issues like Social Injustice, Corruption, Gender discrimination, etc. He was also a proud recipient of two National Film Awards, Nine State Nandi Awards, and Four Filmfare Awards South.
He also acted in Tamil, Kannada language movies. He revolutionized Telugu cinema and showed that Pen is mightier than Sword. He introduced actors and directors such as Mohan Babu, R.Narayanamurthy, Raviraja Pinisetty, Muthyala Subbaiah to Tollywood.
He passed away a few minutes back at KIMS hospital as his heart stopped suddenly. Doctors who battled to save his life failed as he was already weak. On behalf of Team APHERALD, We offer our deepest condolences to the bereaved family!
