It's a known fact that Shamli, the younger sibling of actress Shalini and sister in law of Tamil superstar Thala Ajith Kumar, had a successful stint as a child artist in the 90s, as she had succeeded playing loveable child characters in Superhits like Maniratnam directorial Anjali, Megastar Chiranjeevi's Jagadeka veerudu adhiloka sundari etc to name a few, making her a household name.
While she made an entry into films again as an adolescent in Ajith starrer Kandukondain kandukondain , she turned a heroine with Siddharth starrer Tollywood romantic entertainer Oye (2009), which became a flop. Later she was supposed to star opposite Dhanush in Kodi, but exited the project, and went on to star in Veera Sivaji opposite Vikram Prabhu, which failed miserably.
After failing in Malayalam industry as well with a movie opposite Kunchako Boban, with whom she has starred as a child artist too, once again Shamli is all set to try her luck in Tollywood. This time around, she's joining hands with young hero Naga Shourya in a movie directed by Debutant Sundar Surya, titled Ammama Gari illu . Let's see if Shamli can score a success in her reentry.
