Tamil actor Suriya is a relieved man now, as his latest offering Thaanaa Serndha Koottam Directed by Vignesh Shivan, and happened to be the remake of Bollywood superhit Special 26, has performed well at the box office, with overall collections above 60 crores after the first week, with the Telugu version Gang also doing good business.
With this success being a big respite fit for the actor who had been suffering from one disaster after the other, like Anjaan, Massu Engira Maasilamani, 24 to name a few, the actor known for his efforts to play different Roles in New looks, has begun shooting for his next flick as well, without much breaks. However, the female lead Rakul Preet never showed up on the first two days of shooting!
This movie will be Suriya's 36th Movie, and the shooting of this movie directed by Maverick maker Selvaraghavan began today. Bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures SR Prabhu, the movie has Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh as the lead ladies and aims for a Diwali Release. With Selvaraghavan's previous two completed projects Nenjam Marappathillai and Mannavan Vandhanadi yet to find theatrical release, let's see if Suriya 36 makes it on time.
