As numerous speculations are running rife regarding grandeur director Shankar's upcoming sci-fi flick, 2.0, the sequel to his 2009 blockbuster movie Endhiran, which is gearing up for release on April 27, and expected to be huge blockbuster for Superstar Rajnikanth, with Chiyaan Vikram involvement also rumoured, the official news is out on his next project as well.

As the Maverick maker Shankar had already announced that his next project is gonna be the most expected sequel to his 1996 vigilante action thriller Indian/ Bhaaratheeyudu starring Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and that Kamal Haasan will have his perfect launchpad for his political career, director Shankar and team recently launched the hot air balloon of Indian 2 at Taiwan.
The reason for the launch at Taiwan is that the movie's central character, the freedom fighter Senapati, played by Kamal is a member of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's Indian national army, and Netaji was believed to killed in a flight crash in Taiwan. It is expected that this movie will have music by young Sensation Anirudh and will release in 2019.
