Samantha went on to star in big-ticket films like SS Rajamouli's Eega, Mahesh Babu's Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Pawan Kalyan's Atharintiki Dhaaredhi, and many other blockbusters. On the other hand, she tried her hand at Tamil films too like Anjaan, Neethaane En Ponvasantham etc which bombed at the box office.
The actress is currently working on the remake of Kannada movie 'U-Turn'. She will be replacing Shraddha Srinath from the original in both the Tamil and Telugu versions and the shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. Pavan Kumar who helmed the original directs the remake version too.
