Maverick maker Puri Jagannath, who was once known for delivering blockbusters with big stars like Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, with movies like Pokiri, Badri, Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi, Businessman, Temper to name a few, had lost track, scoring flops like "Loafer", Jyoti Lakshmi etc, ruining his career.
However, unfazed by failures, the director began his 33rd flick, the reincarnation drama Mehbooba, with his son Akash Puri and sandalwood Beauty Neha Shetty playing lead roles. The movie is a cross-border love story on a Indian boy and a Pakistani girl. The movie marks the collaboration of Sandeep chowta with Puri Jagannath after a gap.
Now it has been revealed that Mehbooba, produced by Puri Jagannath himself in his Puri talkies, will be released by none other than ace producer Dil Raju, marking Puri - Raju collaboration after Idiot and Pokiri. With the trailer scheduled to Release in the first week of April, Mehbooba eyes a May 11 Release.
