The controversial director Ram Gopal Varma, is currently busy wrapping his upcoming project, the king Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer action thriller Officer, also starring veteran Nasser and Ajay in vital roles. Nagarjuna had recently completed shooting for his part in the action packed entertainer.
Of late, the industry was filled with news that Officer is a rip off of the Hollywood blockbuster Taken starring classy actor Liam Neeson, as the movies had similar plot lines, as here , Nagarjuna, who plays a tough cop, sets out on a mission to save his daughter.
However, RGV has deftly denied the allegations and has slammed the people spreading rumours, stating that officer is a completely different movie with no connection to Taken. The major portion of officer was shot in Mumbai, and has debutant Myra sareen playing the female lead. officer has been announced as a May 25 worldwide release.
