Young hero Vijay Deverakonda became a huge sensation with his youthful coming of age entertainer Arjun Reddy, directed by Debutant Sandeep Vanga. Even though he had become a known face through Pellichoopulu, it was Arjun Reddy that established him firmly as a huge star and a promising talent.
Post the success of Arjun Reddy, though he had received numerous offers in Tollywood, the actor had surprised the whole industry with his choice to star in a Tamil movie, that too a political entertainer directed by Anand Shankar, Titled NOTA.
The actor had recently revealed how the project materialized. He said that though he was not even having an idea to star in Tamil as he didn't know the language, producer Gnanavel Raja had made him listen to Anand and as he was tired he had not concentrated and asked a narration again, and the second time, he was totally impressed and that was how he got into nota. The movie also stars Mehreen Pirzada and Nasser.
