Mega Powerstar Ramcharan has been a relieved man after his latest release, the Sukumar directorial rural entertainer Rangasthalam costarring Samantha, Aadhi Pinisetty, Anasuya and Prakashraj has turned out to be a blockbuster, shaking the box office and breaking records.
Released on March 30, the movie grossed 100 crores within 4 days and later went on to surpass the collections of numerous industry hits, ultimately ending as the Non-Baahubali industry hit, crossing the figures set by Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer Srimanthudu and megastar Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150.
With record collections of more than 3.4 million at the US box office and collection expected to surpass 3.5 mn soon, it was made official by the makers yesterday that Rangasthalam had grossed a magical 200 crores at the box office, and is still going steady. The film, bankrolled by Mythri movie makers might soon be overtaken by superstar Mahesh Babu starrer Bharat Ane Nenu. But for now, Rangasthalam leads the race!
