Even as the king Nagarjuna starrer officer Directed by the forever controversy maker Ram Gopal Varma, had been postponed from a May 25 release to a June 1 release, citing that RGV wants to give a better viewing experience to the audience, with some technical elements, the movie continues to make noise.
RGV has taken it to Twitter to reveal that, 'Officer' is infact based on a real-life cop, KS Prasanna, currently Mumbai crime branch ACP. RGV has weaved the screenplay of the officer based on events narrated by Prasanna in 2010. RGV added that he has cast nag as they bear uncanny resemblances be it looks or their body language.
The case had required Prasanna to investigate another higher official as a chief of a special investigation team enquiring the case, and Nagarjuna plays Prasanna in the movie based on the inputs given by the real cop. Officer also stars Myra Sareen, Ajay, and Nasser, and is shot in Mumbai and Hyderabad.

It's a known fact that Superstar Rajnikanth, who will be having a huge release next week in the form of Pa Ranjith directorial Kaala, 2 years after his dud Kabali, has another movie 2.0, which might release this year end, and another movie with Karthik Subbaraj, which might be his last.
