The movie has served as a perfect stardom vehicle for Vijay Deverakonda who has now scored three big hits, Pellichopulu, Arjun Reddy and now Geetha Govindam, all in different genres, and making him a bankable commercial hero.
While his Taxiwaala was supposed to release even before Geetha Govindam, the issues with VFX had made the movie get delayed indefinitely, and later the movie got released on the Internet before it hit the screens. But despite those, it ended as a profitable venture. Now, the movie is releasing in Tamil as 'Taxikaaran'.
