The Superstar Rajinikanth starrer sci-fi thriller 2.0, the sequel to his 2009 sci-fi blockbuster Endhiran, directed by Shankar, had been in the making since 2005, and while it was expected to be released on Diwali 2017, the movie was pushed to January 2018, for republic day.
However, yet again the movie was postponed, due to poor graphics, and the movie was pushed further, and meanwhile, Superstar completed another movie Kaala and it was released as well. Finally, after roping in a new CG company, the team has finally decided to release the movie on November 29.
The grand teaser of the movie was
revealed on September 13, coinciding with Vinayakar Chathurthi, and the posters
showcased giant claws of Crow man played by Akshay Kumar has upped the
expectations on the movie. But Amy Jackson wasn't seen anywhere and now we hear
from sources that Amy's role is not vital and her screen space is limited.
