Director Sundar.C who had been once successful as a commercial hitmaker with movies like Ullathai Allitha, Unakkaga Ellam Unakkaga, Unnai Thedi, Giri to name a few, later had ventured to play a hero in films and debuted as hero with the movie Thalainagaram directed by Suraj.
Though the movie was a hit, his later movies as the hero did not do well, and then he had returned to direction scoring hits like THeeya Vela Seiyanaum Kumaru, Kalakalappu, Kalakalappu 2, and Aranmanai series, and he has an untitled Vishal flick.
While he had earlier announced that he will not return to acting, today he has announced his next acting venture, Iruttu, directed by VZ Durai who had once directed big heroes like Ajith, Vikram, and Simbu in Mugavari, Kadhal Sadudugu, and Thotti Jaya. Let's see if the out of form team can score a hit with this cop thriller.
