Young hero Nikhil Siddhartha was last seen in the disastrous Kannada remake Kiraak party, a Campus love story which became a disaster despite having good pre-release buzz and decent expectations. The actor is looking to score a big boundary and preferred a remake from Tamil.
Next, the hero was not deterred by the failure and made a surprise decision by deciding to star in another remake this time the remake of a Tamil flop movie Kanithan directed by TN Santhosh, director of the original. The original featured Catherine Tresa as the female lead role.
