One of the top heroes of Tamil cinema in the 90s was Prashanth, who had starred in movies in Malayalam and Telugu as well in movies like Perumthachan and Dawood Ibrahim and had got a good launchpad thanks to his industry background with his father Thyagarajan being an actor himself.
He had been on par with top heroes like Thala Ajith and Vijay, as he had starred in movies directed by ace makers like Maniratnam in Thiruda Thiruda, and delivered a blockbuster with the grand director Shankar with his dual role romantic entertainer Jeans, and had been a most wanted actor.
However in the past decade, he faded away, and now he is coming back as a hero with his next, and he is paired with 'Suchileaks' fame Sanchita Shetty and the movie releases by later this year. Prashanth also played a supporting role in Ramcharan's Vinaya Vidheya Rama,
