Superstar Rajnikanth who was last seen in the blockbuster scifi thriller 2.0 directed by Shankar is back with the Karthik Subbaraj directorial action thriller Petta which was released on January 10 clashing with Thala Ajith's Viswasam.
With Thala Ajith - Siva combo's rural mass entertainer Viswasam rocking the box office, Petta had a tough time at the box office but did decent business than Kaala, and the movie also starring Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has come close to 100 crores in 3 days of release.
Meanwhile even before Superstar begins his 166th movie by AR Murugadoss, the latest speculation is that he will reunite with his Petta director Karthik Subbaraj for another project and the buzz is that Keerthy or Kajal will team up with him in that project.
