2014 saw the release of the disaster flick Kayal which was directed by Prabhu Solomon who was known then for his tragic love stories in the backdrop of nature and its beauty like Kumki and Mynaa, and the movie was about a couple who unite after lots of obstacles including the natural disaster Tsunami.
The movie launched Chandran as the hero, and the actor who received decent reviews for his acting had since then been called as Kayal Chandran. He had married Sun Music VJ Anjana, and had later starred in movies like Saattai fame Anbazhagan's Rubaai, and also is currently acting in a number of movies.
Recently the actor took it to Twitter to announce that he has changed his name from Chandran to his original name of Chandramouli and hereafter he will have this name as his screen name too. The actor thanked media for their support and will be seen next in Venkat Prabhu's Party, Thittam Pottu Thirudura Koottam and few more flicks.
