King Akkineni Nagarjuna, after a string of failures, had opted to star in debutant director Kalyan Krishna's Soggade Chinni Nayana and the movie released on Sankranthi 2016 went on to become the Sankranthi winner and became Nag's biggest grosser then and the highest among senior heroes.
After extending the success streak with Oopiri/ Thozha, followed another disaster streak that extended with Raju Gari Gadhi 2 and Officer the colossal disaster, and Nag has since then been looking out for interesting projects and had also signed the bilingual movie directed by Dhanush.
Now, the buzz is that the actor known for his versatility has opted to star yet again in Kalyan Krishna's next which is gonna be the prequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana titled as Bangarraju and will also feature Naga Chaitanya who had acted in Kalyan Krishna's Rarandoi Veduka Chudam. Samantha will pair again with Chay in this spin-off. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard.
