Nandamuri hero Kalyan Ram has been mostly known for his mass entertainers and in his career so far, he has not had many hits and has delivered mostly only flops, with the exceptions being the Superhit movies like Surender Reddy's Athanokkade and the Anil Ravipudi directorial Pataas.
He tried to do variety as he starred in a mass movie with action in MLA Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi with icy doll Kajal Aggarwal and then starred in romantic entertainer Naa Nuvve with milky babe Tamannaah and both the movies failed despite both the glam girls sizzling in skimpy outfits.
Next, Kalyan ram was seen with the thriller 118 directed by KV Guhan and costarring Nivetha Thomas and Shalini Pandey, and then he is going to work with Virinchi Varma of Uyyala Jampla and Majnu fame and it is said that this movie will focus on human emotions and will be first of its kind for Kalyan Ram. Keerthy Suresh will be teaming up with him and after 'Mahanati' she will be seen in a highly emotional role.
