After Santhanam had quit acting as a comedian the luckiest happened to be Soori and Yogi Babu who had been since then receiving lots of movie offers and are flooded with a flurry of films and at the moment they are individually a part of at least 20 movies each, with small as well as big heroes.
Last year Soori had been a part of biggies like CHiyaan Vikram starrer Saamy Square, Siva Karthikeyan starrer Seemaraja besides few other biggies and now, the comedian who has a number of exciting big-budget movies in his lineup has bagged yet another big movie.
Buzz is that the comedian has been roped in to star alongside Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi in his next movie which is directed by director Vijay Chandar of Simbu starrer Vaalu and Vikram starrer sketch fame. Shruti Haasan will be doing the female lead role. Soori's double entendre comedies were recently caught in controversy. Vijay Sethupathi and Soori were earlier part of Sundarapandian, Idharkuthaane aasaipattai balakumara and Rummy.
