Senior actor of Tollywood Mohan Babu has always been a good friend of Superstar Rajnikanth and that has been a major connection of him with Kollywood and he usually visits Tamil industry events as well. The actor is now returning back to Tamil.
Recently he was approached by ace director Maniratnam to play an important role in his screen adaptation of Kalki epic novel Ponniyin Selvan also starring Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, and many others. But, so far there has been no confirmation yet.
Now he has also been approached to star in the biopic of GR Gopinath, founder of Air Deccan which will be starring Suriya and directed by Irudhi Suttru, Guru fame Sudha Kongara. An official announcement is expected soon in this regard.
